Turkish Delight Tours is proud to present the Sister Cities Committee and efforts towards building another cultural, touristic, and economic bridge between the two cities. In today's global world where cultural dialog among nations gains more importance we chose to take the steps necessary to bring Turkish and American Cultures closer utilizing Turkish Delight Tours'stouristic operations regarding both Turkiye and United States.

Province of Bolu also known as "Green Bolu" in the Black Sea Region of The Turkish Republic has unique natural and historical features. To name a few, Bolu offers a National Park, lakes, mountain ski resorts, natural thermal baths, Black Sea coastal beaches, Greco-Roman ruins, lush forests, culinary arts, various established business and industrial economic development opportunities.
City of Milwaukee is a port in SE Wisconsin, on Lake Michigan: the largest city in the state; established as a trading post in the 18th century; an important industrial center.

Do you know what brought these two beautiful cities together?

Both cities are working hard to contribute to the "green-healthy-world" by launching programs to become Trade-Mark Cities in tourism. "Green Bolu" and "Green Milwaukee" are now green-sister-cities.

Please feel free to contact any of our respected board members through their e-mail addresses regarding your inquiries and comments about the overall Bolu & Milwaukee Sister Cities Association efforts.

Co-Chair, TDT Sister Cities Association Board

What is a Sister City, County or State Relationship?

A sister city, county or state relationship is a broad-based, officially approved, long-term partnership between two communities, counties or states in two countries. A sister city, county or state relationship becomes official with a signing ceremony of the top-elected officials of the two local jurisdictions, following approval by the local city councils (county commissions or state legislatures), as appropriate. Sister city partnerships have the potential to carry out the widest possible diversity of activities of any international program, including every type of municipal, business, professional, educational and cultural exchange or project. Sister city programs are also unique in that they inherently involve the three main sectors in a community: local government, businesses, and a wide variety of citizen volunteers (and civil society or non-profit organizations).
